Problem: Develop low-profile, light weight, directional detector for neutron sources at distances of 10 - 100 meters

  • Developed novel, moderator-free detection method for slow neutrons
  • Established model describing slow neutron transport to long distances
  • Developed novel shielding/collimation
  • Designed and demonstrated mobile, long-range direction neutron detector that meet application requirements
