- Use proven sensing method with selective preconcentration of target analyte and efficient detection of decay events (implemented for Tc-99)
- Combine with superior detection and signal processing electronics
- Successfully integrated system and completed field demonstration
- Adaptable for other radionuclides
Capabilities Employed to Meet Client Needs: Chemical interactions with selective materials; integrated preconcentrator/sensor cell design to provide efficient Tc-99 collection & sensing; sensor cell interface design for efficient detection of decay events; integrated fluidics system design; sensor performance characterization; detection system design for efficient event detection & minimization of background count levels; mechanical design of integrated system; electronics design for signal processing, background reduction, controls, & communication; software development for controls, data processing, communications, and data reporting.
