Integrated Microfluidics for Sensors (279)
Problem: Need integrated, plug-in sensor module design that can allow the use of multiple modules for various analytes

Project Activity Scope (from Technical Overview Chart): Sensors and Devices through Integrated Systems
PNNL Solution:
- Develop and integrate small fluidic components into system for analysis of small sample volumes
- Leverage available components when possible
- Design mixing unit (with PNNL sorbent material) and electrochemical cell
- Successfully demonstrate
Capabilities Employed to Meet Client Needs: Component design; adaptation of commercial components (when available) to meet system requirements; material selection for compatibility with sensor requirements and fabrication processes; microfabrication with laser machining; subsystem assembly and evaluation; system integration and testing.
